Parents as Partners Online

What?
Parents as Partners is a web-based program for Suzuki parents offering short talks on practice tips, listening ideas, review routines, motivation, building community, ownership, parent-child relationships, teenagers, Suzuki philosophy, and more!

When?
Talks are available online any time, any day from January 25-June 30. New talks are aired each Monday through March, with all talks available through the end of June.

How?
Registration is EASY!
To register please bring $10 to your next lesson. You will receive an email on Mon., Jan. 25th with instructions on how to access Parents as Partners Online. You will receive a new email each Monday through March.

Videos can be watched on any web-based device: desktop and laptop computers, smart phones, and tablets- including iPhones and iPads.

2016 Minijournal Cover Design Contest

Every year the Suzuki Association of the Americas holds a Cover Design Contest for the annual Minijournal publication. I'm a little late getting this out as the deadline is Jan. 1, 2016 but it's a fun opportunity for students age 4-14. There were almost 50 entries last year so they chose winners in several categories. 

Guidelines: Original cover design by a Suzuki student between the ages of 4 and 14. Suzuki or music-related subject matter preferred. Please do not send computer-generated artwork. One entry per child.
Deadline: January 1, 2016

Parents as Partners Online

These videos are a great way to start your week for the next few months.  If you are a part of the Suzuki Strings group class at SUU you can register (pay $10) through Sara Penny.  All other students can register through me by giving me $10 and your current email address.  It's not too late even though the first video was posted on Feb. 18th. 

Parents as Partners Online is a series of short online videos for Suzuki parents and teachers, on Suzuki-related topics like practice, parent-child relationships, summer institute perspectives, philosophy, motivation and more!

This year’s event includes 34 new videos! You won’t want to miss these new spectacular sessions, plus selected talks from last year.

Register now to gather fresh ideas on numerous Suzuki-related topics!

How it Works:

We’ll email you on Monday, February 18 with instructions on how to access Parents as Partners Online.

A few new video lectures will be added each Monday, and we’ll email you then too.

Videos can be watched on any web-enabled device: desktop and laptop computers, smart phones, and tablets—including iPhones and iPads.

Once posted, all videos can be watched online at any time until June 30.
