Intermountain Suzuki Strings Institute 2019


I'm excited to announce that I have been invited to be on the faculty of the 2019 Intermountain Suzuki Strings Institute! I would love to have YOU (my students!) join me at this amazing week-long institute! 

We'll have a chance to hear guest artists violinist, William Hagencellist, Alice Yoo and the Fry Street Quartet at evening performances through out the week. 

Institute dates: June 17-22. 2019

2019 Tuition Price List

Family Registration Fee $50 (discounted to $25 before March 1st)

$525 (January-April 1st) or $600 (After April 1st) - Lower Suzuki Books (Violin Books 1-3, Viola Books 1-2 and Cello Books 1-2)

$590 (January-April 1st) or $670 (After April 1st if space is available) - Upper Suzuki Books (Violin Books 4-8, Viola Books 3-5, Cello Books 3-6)

$610 (January-April 1st) or $690 (After April 1st if space is available) - Advanced String Camp (Violin beyond book 8, Viola beyond book 5, Cello beyond book 6)

$885 (January-April 1st) or $960 (After April 1st if space is available) - Chamber Days with the Fry Street Quartet

$200 (January-April 1st) or $280 (After April 1st) - Twinkle Curriculum (for those not beyond the Twinkles by institute)

$75 per Student Enrichment Class

Summer Institutes and Music Camps


I encourage all students to attend a summer workshop/institute! Here are a few going on this summer. Several students are already registered for ISSI, Bryce Music Camp and the Jenny Oaks Baker workshops! If you can't go this year save and plan for next year!

Intermountain Suzuki String Institute (ISSI)
The Intermountain Suzuki String Institute and Advanced String Camp are renowned for the extremely high level of students that attend, allowing us to attract a prestigious and highly qualified faculty.
Student Programs
$500 - Lower Suzuki Books (Violin Books 1-3, Viola Books 1-2 and Cello Books 1-2)
$560 - Upper Suzuki Books (Violin Books 4-8, Viola Books 3-5, Cello Books 3-6)
$580 - Advanced String Camp (Violin beyond book 8, Viola beyond book 5, Cello beyond book 6)
$840 - Fry Street Days: An Intensive Chamber Experience (NEW PRICE includes June 11-20 program)
$190 - Twinkle Curriculum (for those not beyond the Twinkles by institute)

Bryce Canyon Music Camp
The 6th Annual Bryce Canyon Music Camp will be June 6-10, 2016
Bryce Canyon Music Camp provides an opportunity for students to receive lessons, individually and in groups, providing motivation and reinforcement for their normal study at home.
Our goals are to promote the joy of music and the thrill of accomplishment, to help parents and students improve their working relationships, and to inspire all who attend with the strength of Dr. Suzuki’s vision. Student preparation is a critical component of a successful experience.
We hope that you allow for a little time to enjoy beautiful Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area while you are here. Be sure to visit our Attractions page to learn more about our uniquely scenic attractions. See you this summer in beautiful Southern Utah.

Jenny Oaks Baker Workshops
In these workshops all participants will be coached by Jenny Oaks Baker on songs from her albums (in original advanced and simplified versions) as well as an obligato for the 2016 Primary Program. Workshops held at The Gifted Music School-150 South 1000 East, SLC, UT 84102
On July 29, at 7:30 PM, all participants will perform the workshop songs in a free public concert at The Brigham Young Historic Park-N State St & 2nd Ave SLC, UT, followed by a mini performance by Jenny Oaks Baker.  Dress Rehearsal July 29 4:00-5:00 Simplified Songs, 4:30-5:30 Advanced Songs at The Gifted Music School, Sound Check 6:00-6:30 Brigham Young Historic Park.

Parents as Partners Online



What?
Parents as Partners is a web-based program for Suzuki parents offering short talks on practice tips, listening ideas, review routines, motivation, building community, ownership, parent-child relationships, teenagers, Suzuki philosophy, and more!

When?
Talks are available online any time, any day from January 25-June 30. New talks are aired each Monday through March, with all talks available through the end of June.

How?
Registration is EASY!
To register please bring $10 to your next lesson. You will receive an email on Mon., Jan. 25th with instructions on how to access Parents as Partners Online. You will receive a new email each Monday through March.

Videos can be watched on any web-based device: desktop and laptop computers, smart phones, and tablets- including iPhones and iPads.
