Everyone is invited to the Suzuki Strings Spring Concert, Thurs., May 2, 2019, 7:00pm!  Several studio students are participating. It will be a great concert!

Studio SUMMER schedule is posted on the Studio Calendar. Let me know your summer plans (girls camp, family reunions, vacation, etc.) ASAP so I can open available lessons to other students. 

Reminder of Summer Policies

During the summer (June- Aug.) I offer a more flexible schedule to allow for personal time off and teacher training. Lessons are $15/30min lesson. Payment is due the beginning of each month for 'scheduled' lessons. If you will only be to 3 lessons during the month you only need to pay for 3 lessons. If you need to reschedule or cancel your scheduled lesson, please let me know at least a day before.

If there are no available times to reschedule and I know at least a day before, I will transfer payment to the next month.

Lessons cancelled the day of lessons or a 'no show' will still be charged. 

Check the Studio Calendar often for updates and openings. Feel free to email or text me with changes.

Suzuki Strings Cedar City is sponsoring a summer Fiddle Camp!  

Fellow Suzuki String teachers, Lindsay Szczesny and Amy Gold, have organized this fun, local fiddle camp!

more years of playing experience.

SUU International Youth Orchestra and Music Camp

Dr. Xun Sun will be conducting this International Youth Orchestra music camp with local students and youth from Taiwan and China!

There are a few options: You can register for just the Orchestra Rehearsal and final concert, the Enrichment Classes or for the Full day, which includes both. There are plenty of scholarships available for local students so be sure to select the scholarship option when you register. The enrichment classes look fun and interesting!

Tuition:

Orchestra: $225, after scholarship $95; 

Enrichment Classes: $275, after scholarship $150; 

Full day: Tuition $495, after scholarship $225

I encourage all students to attend a summer workshop/institute! Here are a few going on this summer. Several students are already registered for ISSI, Bryce Music Camp and the Jenny Oaks Baker workshops! If you can't go this year save and plan for next year!

Intermountain Suzuki String Institute (ISSI)

Bryce Canyon Music Camp

The 6th Annual Bryce Canyon Music Camp will be June 6-10, 2016

Bryce Canyon Music Camp provides an opportunity for students to receive lessons, individually and in groups, providing motivation and reinforcement for their normal study at home.

Our goals are to promote the joy of music and the thrill of accomplishment, to help parents and students improve their working relationships, and to inspire all who attend with the strength of Dr. Suzuki’s vision. Student preparation is a critical component of a successful experience.

Jenny Oaks Baker Workshops

Early Bird Registration deadline May 1, 2016

In these workshops all participants will be coached by Jenny Oaks Baker on songs from her albums (in original advanced and simplified versions) as well as an obligato for the 2016 Primary Program. Workshops held at The Gifted Music School-150 South 1000 East, SLC, UT 84102

On July 29, at 7:30 PM, all participants will perform the workshop songs in a free public concert at The Brigham Young Historic Park-N State St & 2nd Ave SLC, UT, followed by a mini performance by Jenny Oaks Baker.  Dress Rehearsal July 29 4:00-5:00 Simplified Songs, 4:30-5:30 Advanced Songs at The Gifted Music School, Sound Check 6:00-6:30 Brigham Young Historic Park.
